Great product, not so great customer service

We ordered an extending table and insets which all went fine and delivery via Proovia was excellent.
The issue we had was the finish of the table wasn't good along the centre of both semicircular sections . On contacting Agus he seemed reluctant to understand or acknowledge that there could have been a problem with their product, finishing or checking processes, even though the various photos clearly showed the issue.

After several emails Agus arranged for collection of the table to correct the issue. Two weeks later the table was returned to us via the same courier service which again was excellent.

The table finish is now as expected and is a lovely piece.

The poor customer service and resistance to acknowledging the issue with the table finish has tainted our experience especially when you are communicating remotely by email and no one answers the phone.

What a table!!

Amazing extendable table, highly suitable for small spaces so you can get it to 90cm and then extend it to 190cm if/when needed.
Very solid, great craftmanship.

Misleading Product Images

As apartment dwellers, we purchased this compact dining table based on attractive online photos. While it fits our space well and it was shipped overseas without damage (impressive!), the actual product falls short of expectations.

The most significant issue is the discrepancy between advertised images and reality. The photos showed a smooth, knot-free tabletop. However, our table has over 20 visible knots in the 100 cm top, filled with black filler and sanded down. This creates an unattractive appearance far from the elegant surface expected. My spouse and I have commented on these knots at every meal since the table has arrived. A guest asked what product we used to fill the knots - yikes!

Additionally, only the top of the tabletop is sealed and smooth, while the underside and legs are unfinished, raw wood. Purchasing a wax or sealer to finish the job is on our to-do list, hopefully before our child touches the legs with grubby hands.

It's worth noting that the UK's Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations prohibit misleading customers. These regulations ban traders from engaging in unfair commercial practices, including misleading actions or omissions that could cause consumers to make transactional decisions they wouldn't otherwise make. Perhaps sell two tiers of tables: a better quality, knot-free version versus a knot-riddled version? Either way, shipping this back to the UK to exchange would be cost prohibitive.

While the table functions perfectly and is the only small, round, extendable, solid wood table on the market we could find that fits our small space, the unfinished finish and misleading product images make it difficult to recommend. Potential buyers should request detailed, real product photos before purchasing to avoid similar disappointment.
